Seemingly taking a page from their YUM! Brands partner KFC, Taco Bell is testing out what I like to call the “Double Down Taco.” The actual name is the Naked Crispy Chicken Taco.
The Naked Crispy Chicken Taco has been spotted in Bakersfield California, and is priced at about $2.50.
The Taco is said to have the fried chicken shell, with a filling of shredded lettuce, cheese, tomato, and a ranch avocado sauce. There is no other meat beside the chicken shell willed with regular Taco ingredients.

I am skeptical if Taco Bell can pull this off, but if anyone can, they can. Obviously America didn’t quite fall in love with the Double Down, as it hasn’t been around KFC in years (although they did use chicken as a promotional stunt as a hot dog bun in the Philippines).
As the Naked Crispy Chicken Taco becomes more of a reality, we will have all the information here, so stay tuned!
