When you thought that just two types of chocolate on a doughnut were enough, Krispy Kreme can do one better. Scientists at Krispy Kreme HQ have developed a doughnut with not two, but three different types of chocolate.
The new triple chocolate doughnut is first molded and fried, and filled with a dark chocolate filling. Once its insides have been adequately choco-fied, a milk chocolate icing layer goes on.
Finally, to complete the chocolate trifecta, a third layer of mini chocolate chips is sprinkled on top. To top off this masterpiece of chocolate indulgence, a white chocolate ganache drizzle is laid across the top.
Wait a second…that sounds like 4 different chocolates. Well, no matter how you decided to count it, the Triple Chocolate Doughnut is now available at Krispy Kreme, but only through January 25th.
