After several years of slipping sales, Pizza Hut will be revamping their image, and most importantly their menu.
They believe that they will be able to win over a younger crowd with more exotic, and unique flavors, all to be customized.
According to USA Today, the nations largest pizza chain will be adding 11 new pizza recipes, 10 new crust flavors, six new sauces, five new toppings, and four new flavor-pack drizzles. The logo, uniforms, and box design will also change.
According to Pizza Hut, some of the new choices will include:
- Salted Pretzel and Honey Sriracha crusts.
- Garlic Parmesan and Buffalo sauces
- Sliced banana peppers and Peruvian cherry peppers
- “Drizzles” like Buffalo and Balsamic sauces (drizzled over the pizza after it’s baked
- 22 special combinations including “7-Alarm Fire” and “Giddy-Up Barbecue Chicken”
- A Skinny Pizza line with slices under 250 calories
Carrie Walsh, chief marketing officer, wants to make a big impression with the new changes. “We’re looking” she said, to a possibility of rolling out advertising for next year’s Super Bowl, “This change deserves a big statement.”
The changes couldn’t come soon enough. The other Yum Brands Taco Bell and KFC have been making radical changes, while Pizza Hut hasn’t done much. Some experts believe that the changes might be too radical, too quickly.
The changes will roll out nationwide on November 19th.
