Even after last week’s release of 5 new menu items, Taco Bell HQ is still attempting to come out with the next great product offering. This week Thrillist is reporting that Tell Bell is now testing new Sriracha flavored items in locations around Kansas City.
In case you didn’t know, Sriracha is a hot sauce that has ballooned in popularity in the US over the last couple of years. Originally created in Thailand, many restaurants here incorporated it into their menus, including Subway, Applebees, and P.F. Changs.
Taco Bell will be the latest American brand to take this sauce to the masses. If you live somewhere near Kansas City, you can now enjoy the Sriracha Nachos Supreme, Sriracha Quesarito, Sriracha Taco, Sriracha Loaded Griller, and Sriracha Scrambler Burrito.
In a statement, Stephanie Perdue, Taco Bell spokeswoman said, “Our customers love spicy food and we know that Sriracha is on the top of their list as the latest, most relevant flavor. This test brings together two things our consumers are passionate about: Taco Bell and Sriracha.”
If the test is a success, no doubt you will be seeing this at a location near you sometime very soon, and you won’t just be limited to these menu items either. Since Sriracha is basically just a condiment, you could request it on any item (Sriracha Doritos Locos Tacos, Sriracha Freeze?…just kidding). You have a potential for endless menu hacking possibilities.
