You will never have to wait in line at Taco Bell again. After months of teasing, Taco Bell today announced a new app that will let customers nationwide order food from their smart phones. Taco Bell is the first major fast food chain to do a nationwide roll out.
Today we tested the app out, and it definitely is convenient. We have access to every item and add-on ingredient that is available at our local store. This means that the app acts like an ala carte menu where we can add or remove pretty much anything. Also menu items that have been ordered are saved for reordering.
According to reports, the app will give us access to special item menu options that aren’t available in the store, as well as special offers. For example, Taco Bell us running their freezes for $1.00 all day exclusively through mobile ordering.
In order to hype of the introduction of the new app, Taco Bell’s social media as “gone dark” today including their website. The entire twitter history has been deleted (actually it has just been moved to @totallynothere).
As for us, the app’s interface seems excellent. It is very robust, where you can store a credit card and complete the entire transaction online. Hopefully the Taco Bell mobile app is just getting us ready for Taco Bell Delivery? Hopefully sometime in the near future.
