A few days ago, I had a coupon for a Buy One Get One Free ice cream code at Baskin Robbins, so I dropped for dessert and to review my favorite flavor of ice cream: Peanut Butter Cup.
The first thing I noticed was the price. $2.70 for a single scoop. And when they mean “single scoop” that is exactly what they mean. A single scoop on top of a code. Nothing filled in, no “little extra” that I usually get from other ice cream parlors.
As for the ice cream, it tasted good. The ice cream wasn’t that creamy (in comparison to Cold Stone for example). It tasted almost exactly like the Peanut Butter Cup ice cream I could have gotten across the street at the grocery store. The chunks of peanut butter cup were nice and big, and the overall flavor of the ice cream had a nice flavor of peanut butter and chocolate incorporated.
Hunger Filling Grade: N/A – Dessert really isn’t meant to fill you up, however if I was grading this, it would be low for the amount of ice cream I’m getting FOR $2.70!!
Value Grade: F – I was able to justify this purchase because I had a BOGO coupon, and even with that, I still felt ripped off. The flavor was good, and I definitely enjoyed the ice cream, but the realization of paying that much made things a little less sweet.
Bottomline – You can get the same quality of ice cream at the grocery store for the same price and get an entire 1.5 quart container.
