For some reason, Outback Steakhouse has an internal polling group that has commissioned a study called the “New American Romance” study. What they found out was shocking, and by shocking I mean something that everyone already knows: couples to spend more time out on dates are stronger.
According to the study, 56% of couples can’t remember their last date night, while 50% have cancelled or postponed a scheduled date night in the past year.
In order to help these fledging couples save their relationships, Outback Steakhouse has announced a new initiative, I mean, deal. For a limited time (why a limited deal when love is forever?) Outback has created the Date Night Meal for Two. It includes a Bloomin’ Onion appetizer, two steak entrees, and a Classic Cheesecake to share. For entrees, each person will have a choice of an 8 oz. Outback Special Sirloin, or a 6 oz. filet. Couples will also receive $10 off select bottles of wine.
President of Outback Steakhouse, Jeff Smith, annouced his deal with:
“After learning that 42% of people canceled Date Night because they were too tired, we decided to make it as easy and tasty as possible with our special Date Night Meal for Two, available each weekend. We’ll do all the work – come in as you are and enjoy!.”
There is no word yet on the price, but can you really put a price on love?
